Now on to Brugge
my 1st impression was wow look at the size of the walls
Brugge is a walled city with a ton of canals running through it.
The city was built by the Romans on the site of an exciting fort.
So I found my way to my hostel The Lybeer hotel
this is not a hostel I would recommend if you are visiting Brugge.
The bathrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor were out of order,
there was no hot water, the staff were rude and it was overpriced.
but I didn't spend much time there so overall it did not affect my experience in Brugge.
on my 1st day there I basically just walked around trying to figure out my way around the city

Obviously while walking around I was talking to people and trying to figure out what I was going to do the next day
What I decided on was visiting our lady of Bruge church to see the Michelangelo statue
and take a tour of the only operating brewery in Brugge
the church was beautiful and the story behind the Michelangelo statue was kinda cool
the Statue had been stolen twice since its arrival and both times found its way back home

Michelangelo's Mary with child Christ

After I was done here I walked over to the Zot Brewery/museum
and took a tour.

So once I finished at the brewery I went back to my hostel (the worst hostel I have stayed at, Ill explain more on that later) to see if I could meet up with anyone there for drinks
There were a couple of American university students on a class trip playing cards (that I had met the night before). We decided to meet up for drinks after dinner. So I go to the bar and while I'm waiting to get a drink I meet a Guy from London and his Mom they seem ok so we leave and go to another bar.
At some point something just didn't "feel" so I excused my self for a cigarette and went outside where I met a bunch of "locals" and proceeded to socialize with them, the two that I spoke with the most were, Olivia (from sweden) and Sunajy (from Nepal) ( both live and work in Brugge)

All in all, I did enjoy my time in Brugge but I left a day early as the hostel was terrible. If were to return I this is more of town to visit with someone special.

ONE LAST THING I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE LYBEER HOSTEL IN BRUGGE
